Oh, hi.

Ok fine, I suck at this whole mystic 'woooo where am I' shit. I thought I would not blog here till the new one comes up, but then a lot of complications arose when I wanted to start a new blog. Actually it is pretty simple - the blog name I wanted was taken up. Hogged, more like it. Someone was just sitting on the name for the heck of it.

And then thanks to my wonderful knack for nick names, or not, I couldn't come up with one that I was really satisfied with.

After three weeks of knocking about, and coming up with more cringe-worthy nick names, it hit me one late weekend morning when I was having breakfast. The name has been booked and choped like a hawker table in Amoy Street, and I'm just...crafting, erm, my first post now.

Hey, one cyber step at a time, ok?

Anyway till my first opening post, I'm not blogging there and I have a couple of things to spill. So here goes (Congrats! It's back to the ex!).

I know I always say I'm busy with work, when people ask me how things are. Yes I know it's a damn annoying response and I hate it too, but it's the truth. But these past two weeks without the boss has been... awful.

Well manageable, because we still get everything done. But sometimes clients can be very nasty without a reason , and I got superbly upset (understatement) last week thanks to three fatsos. While that day could not get any worse handling it on my own, I think it was really the build-up of all the feedback about work, self-evaluation and doubt, and stress that caused the eventual breakdown.

On a side note, shouldn't sporting organisations employ fit, and not FAT, people? Shouldn't it be in a contract? Especially considering that you would need to uphold the organisation's championing belief - why the PR people so fail one?

But I digress.

It's really reaching a fever pitch come November till end-December - it's really the busiest for the sports team. It's also the holiday period, the time when  you can forget about reaching anyone or getting anything done on time. (Perfect period to use this as an excuse too).

Has anyone noticed Christmas decorations coming up? SHITTTT. In fact Queensway was being a kiasu auntie when she decided to start hanging her silver crap on her trees early in October. Eh chill la babe, seriously. Thanks for scaring the crap out of some of us.

Anyway to end this rant, and to provide strokes of comfort (...wrong....), here's a list of things I can look forward to. My light(s) at the end of this tunnel:

1) Pingky's Birthday! Brunch this Saturday, IF Ming doesn't suddenly get called for reservist. Then again we can just continue with our plans at the Regent - Ming has given us his blessings. oh yeah.

2) Sari Shopping with RN and ST for wedding.

3) Family Holiday in Krabi - 13 November (right?) for five days (right??).

4) Swimming World Cup - 21 & 22 November. Yes, I'm actually looking forward to my work event. Then again it's going to be fun, and plus it's Rasu's wedding on the 21 plus after-party - INDIAN STYLE YO. SarisSarisSarisSarisSarisSarisSarisSaris

5) Boys are back!

6) Singapore Marathon - 6 Dec. 3.30am, Padang. 10 hours later and you are gone (sorta). I might just collapse and cry at the Padang.

7) Netball - the end of it. The date escapeth me.

8) Christmas. Minus P. How the F is this something to look forward to? Well then again office is closed for two days - whoopeeeeeee.

9) Hearing back from SIM-RMIT. PLEASE, TWO YEARS, PLEASE.

10) 2010. How apt. CCB.

Till next time.

Getting tired of Xanga. Perhaps it's time for a proper change?

Fashion is taken on a whole other level with up-to-second updates from people AT the scene. Reading the highlighted Tweets, or 'Twitter Roundup' on Wall Street Journal's blog, "Heard on the Runway" has been interesting and informative, and it's a little unnerving, hearing such personal thoughts from fashion directors/editors at the show.

Some interesting shows picked up:

Afros at Louis Vuitton - grooovy.

For their Spring/Summer 2010 collection, Chanel transformed the Grand Palais into their very own barn - how quaint! Lily Allen also surprised the audience when she emerged from the floor, performing a number during the show.

Friday was spent at the White Collar Boxing Event at Suntec. It was a client of ours, and I was at the media table. I don't remember the last time I felt like work wasn't, well, work. I had great dinner company with HotStuff, TODAY and Straits Times. There was wine, beer and a decent dinner (yeah, in that order) and we got to watch ordinary executives hammer each other after months of training.

We were there in support of a colleague as well - Sheila - who spent four to five months without alcohol and ciggerates, training at least three times a week for the sho'down. Unfortunately she lost, despite our yells for blood and SMSes beforehand encouraging aggresion.

In other news, I have been in a bit of a rut lately, thinking about school and work, work options out there for me.

Someone was also a bit of a dampener when they said London isn't as fantastic as I thought it was, when I said I would like to work in London one day. Who said I thought it was fantabulous? Is it that bad that he actually had to say that? How's it better than the ulu bit of bloody Canada you mentioned?

Anyway it is Monday tomorrow, and a current client has been a fucking assholic backstabber. Fuck the happy camper, I don't remember it being stipulated in the contract. I'm getting rather tired of being told how we are not producing results when the number of articles exceed last year's at this time.

I would like a couple of drinks before I face these assholes, but unfortunately it IS a work day tomorrow and my drink appointment is only planned for Friday. Unless Miss Jasmine doesn't suddenly pang sei me!

The time when...

Memories to remind me of the brilliant times, the wild nights and the unforgettable.

(Pictures from all sorts of libraries, and hence in no proper order.)

...Hugslut Ming was born at House. The result of four shots and too much cheap champagne. No real recollection after, especially when Ming and I found ourselves sleeping outside Overeasy with puke at my feet.

...One of the BBC meetings (through sheer hardwork and will) during RTYZ's birthday at Timbre, minus Claire who was down with a flu. 2009.

...I just had no recollection of. Thanks to 1-for-1's contributed by over five colleagues.

...Our first holiday to a place that was a rather unconventional decision for us. Boutique hotels, brunch, old temples, quaint areas of Siem Reap and a milestone.

...Our very belated 21st, still minus one BBC for a reason I can't recall now.

...birthdays at Piertrasanta.

...my 21st with Ping, Ming and Shikin. I spent it in a blissful nap on a rainy Sunday while the rest argued viciously over a game of Monopoly.

...Christmas, 2008.

...Shikin Vadermabuk was born when she turned 21.

...Nap time for the grandfather during Chinese New Year 2009. Annual portrait.

... Besides it being a 'meet the friends' day, it was the first picnic for the BBC. Minus two others.

... The last afternoon with Shikin in town, before she left for Brisbane for a year. Till now, I don't understand or care for elaborate farewells. The last time with a loved one could be spent doing the most mundane, and remembering the last minutes. Shortly after, I left her (someone almost cried in town - haha!) to spend the last hours with someone who was dear then, before I left for a week in KL for work.

...Shikin got quickly smashed and left her farewell party prematurely. Well done soldier!

...The first night in Brisbane at Fridays with Shikin (& Co.) after close to three months apart, and on my month long holiday away from home.

...The campus' square, where I spent hours with a mocha, book and texting Ping while I waited for the nerd to be done with research/tests.

...I spent the last evening in Brisbane, absorbing as much as I could on the South Bank. Oh and also delaying time as Shikin's birthday surprise was waiting for her at home.

...The dramatic events of Australia, and in particular Melbourne. It was Krish's birthday and Vik and I were in town to bum around. This was in the City's centre, waiting to head to the casino for dinner. Things were alright by now.

...My last afternoon in Melbourne with Vik my partner in crime in Melbourne, and John, a God-sent of a guide, friend and companion.

...Vik, after wine/beer shopping. When left at our own devices (which was frequently) we did many stupid things in Melbourne, because we is happening like that.

...Fucking walked in the fucking cold at St. Kildas for this fucking awesome cake with a weird German-sounding name like Haufflerganger...Or something like that.

...the boys I lived with in Melbourne.

...Chapel Street.

...Ping and Ming took a day off to meet up after not seeing each other for almost a month. Miffy, from a vintage store on Chapel St, joined us at P.S. Cafe.

...The last BBC birthday of the year, making it in time before midnight.

..At Overeasy, PMS in order.

...Zouk Out - literally.

...PMS' first ever Ballet Under the Stars! Only good for picnics and doing something different. Dances sucked.

...Calcutta, 2004. What's the most important?

...Unknown characters...+ahem, looks away+

...Going to eM by the River, the second station of Rhea's surprise 21st party which had to be one of the best coups evah.

...Nassim walks, in...fricking 2006.

...Drunk behind Emerald Hill.

...Bintan business trip, and I convinced Shikin the afternoon before to join me.

...Who can coordinate a scoop-deliver motion when your not yourself?

...20th!
